Public Transportation

The Chile Line public transit system, operated by the Town of Taos, has two primary routes that operate seven days a week.

 

One line runs north/south from Ranchos de Taos Post Office to Taos Pueblo along Paseo del Pueblo Sur and Norte (Highway 68).  It includes Taos Ski Valley in the winter months.

 

The other runs east-west, serving Taos public facilities and major employment hubs - with on demand ADA and senior service that should be requested 24-hours in advance of a desired trip.

 

Fares are 50 cents per person or $1 a day; 25 cents for seniors, and rides are free for students with I.D. going to Town of Taos facilities.
